We are thrilled to share that four of our incredible educators have been awarded $20,000 through the Foundations in Education Grants to bring two exciting, hands-on programs to life at All Saints Catholic School!
Digital Stage Design Lab – $15,000
Our Drama and Theater Arts teachers, Mrs. Brown and Ms. Wallace, were awarded $15,000 for a Digital Stage Design Lab, where theater, technology, and visual art come together in an entirely new way. Using a large venue laser projector and professional design software, students will create digital scenery, projection effects, and multimedia backdrops for school plays, concerts, assemblies, and special events.
Instead of being limited by traditional sets, students will experiment with animation, video effects, and synced visuals to bring stories to life on stage. Over 150 students each year will have the chance to collaborate across Drama Club, Theater Arts, and Visual Arts classes, building creativity, technical skills, and confidence. Families will see the results in professional-quality productions that showcase the talent and imagination of our students, making every performance a shared celebration of our school community.
Our Yearbook and Broadcasting Club advisors Mr. Mezzacappa and Ms. Cuthbertson teamed up to create a full student media initiative with their project “Voices of All Saints: A Student Media Initiative and Ministry of Storytelling.” Students in the Upper School, Grades 5-8, will use professional cameras, editing software, microphones, and production tools to capture school life, create broadcasts, and produce a high-quality yearbook.
This program isn’t just about documenting the school year—it’s about giving students a platform to share their voices, develop leadership and communication skills, and celebrate the faith-filled culture of All Saints. Younger students will also have the opportunity to contribute photos and be featured in broadcasts, making this a truly school-wide initiative. By learning media production and storytelling, students gain practical skills while building confidence and creativity that will last far beyond the classroom.
“These grants give our teachers the tools to create programs that are both innovative and meaningful,” said Head of School Steven Virgadamo. “We can’t wait to see how our students will use their creativity and leadership to bring these programs to life, sharing their stories and talents with the entire All Saints community.”
"With the Digital Stage Design Lab and Voices of All Saints, our students will be stepping into new ways to learn, create, and lead," said Virgadamo. "These programs blend technology, artistry, and faith-centered education, showing that at All Saints, learning is as dynamic and inspiring as the students themselves."
Congratulations again to Mrs. Brown, Ms. Wallace, Mr. Mezzacappa, and Ms. Cuthbertson—we can’t wait to see the incredible stories and experiences our students will create with these tools available to them!
