Tuesday With a Teacher

We’re bringing back Tuesday with a teacher to welcome a few new staff members! First up, our new physical education teacher, Ms. Shannon O’Malley.

Ms. O’Malley graduated from Norwalk High in 2014 where she played field hockey, basketball, and softball. She  was a captain for field hockey and softball and was first team all state, all conference, and all area in field hockey. She graduated from Southern Connecticut in 2018 with a degree in Exercise Science and Health Education.

How long have you been teaching?  This is my first year teaching and at All Saints! I’m very happy to be here.

What is the best part of your job? Getting to know all of the students in the school and seeing them become physically active outside of school.

If you had a superpower for the day, what would it be? I would love to be able to fly!

What is your favorite kind of music? I love pop music. Anything that is on the radio!

Do you have any pets? No pets, but I LOVE dogs!

Do you have a hidden talent? If yes, what is it? Not very hidden but I love to play field hockey. What most people don’t know is that I’m a goalie!

 

What is your favorite type of book to read? (or favorite book title) I love mystery books.


What did you want to be when you grew up? Since I was 16 I have always wanted to be a PE teacher.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? My favorite place in the world Liverpool, England. I lived there for a little in 2016 and loved the atmosphere!

What was your first job? My first job was at a Stew Leonard’s as a cashier when I was 15.

Any other fun facts? I’ve been to 7 different European countries and I’m trying to go to every state.
