A Message from the Principal
Congratulations to Jayden Fickens, Zack DiIorio and Cody DiIorio!  They completed the Stamford Kids Spartan 2018 on Sunday! 

Welcome Back Picnic
The sun shone brightly on our Welcome Back Picnic!  We relaxed and had a great time together. Thank you to Jim Cahn, Adam Fielding, Al Martins, Janet Mitchell, Beth DiIorio, Yeire Singewald, Shannon O'Malley and Marianne Licare for their help!  A new tradition for our school!  

Back to School Night
It was a pleasure seeing so many parents at our " Back to School Night" last week. 
Hopefully the sessions were informative and you were able to ask questions. We are looking forward to a successful year!

Volunteers Needed
The school needs volunteers. All volunteers need to be Virtus trained.  A Safe Environments Training Session will be offered at our school on Saturday, September 22,at 9:00AM. If you wish to volunteer in any capacity at our school, this is a requirement. This training has been set up especially for our parents. Go to wwww.Virtus.org to register for this free workshop. Please attend.

Re-Certification Reminders
All current volunteers at our school who were trained five years ago, need to be recertified. Please contact Mrs. Stapleton   (mrs.stapleton@ascs.org) for information on recertification or go to: www.Virtus.org for directions. 

Shopping Showcase Extravaganza
The "Shopping Showcase Extravaganza" is currently underway. It is one of our major fundraisers of the year. Every family needs to participate or send an opt out check for $100. Any questions, please contact Janet Mitchell at the Home School email: hsa@ascs.net

Fall Festival is Back-October 21
Our Fall Festival is back this year with a different flare. It will be held on Sunday, October 21 from 12:00-4:00PM on the  front lawn. We will have a variety of food trucks, crafters and vendors, a DJ and dancing, a magic show, pony rides and a petting zoo, flowers, pumpkins, games and other surprises!  Come join us for lunch, music and fun!

High School Fair September 25th
Our annual "High School Fair" for grades 7 and 8 will be held on September 25 at 9:15AM  in the school cafeteria. Representatives from local Catholic, private and public schools will be on hand to meet with our students to answer questions and hand out information about their respective schools. It is never too early for middle school families to begin thinking about the " next step" in their child's education. Parents are welcome to attend. 

Thank you to our guidance counselor, Mrs. Corrente, for organizing this event. Any 8th grade parents who have questions concerning the high school application process (applications, dates, recommendations, testing, transcripts etc) need to contact Mrs.Corrente ( mrs.corrente@ascs.net).

Second Grade Parents
Attention second grade parents!  Please remember to contact your parish to register for Reconciliation and First Communion classes.

Middle School Harvest Dance
The  Middle School Harvest Dance will be held on Saturday, October 13 from  7:00PM- 9:00PM in the school cafeteria. Tickets are now on sale for $10 in the school office. All middle school students  must have a permission slip (found on the school website) to attend. The event is chaperoned by the administration and parents. Any questions,please call the school office. ASCS students only!

Parent/Student Handbook
Every family received a copy of the All Saints Catholic School Parent/School Handbook. If you have not read it yet, please do so immediately. It contains important information about school policy.  

Share the Good News
If you have some good news to share about your child's accomplishments outside of school, please email me so we can include them in the weekly news. A picture would be great! 

Early Dismissal Wednesday
Wednesday, September 19 is a teacher in-service day.  Early dismissal for all students (11:30 for PK and 11:45 for K-8). The extended day program will be available until 5:45 PM.  

The heavy rain is coming!  Be careful and be safe!
