A Message from the Principal
Thank You Angels!
It was a pleasure to meet so many special family members and friends on "Angels Day."  Thank you to Mrs. D'Andrea, the faculty members at the check in table, the moms who set up the breakfast, and those who bought and sold the beautiful spring flowers and plants. Click here to see photos from this wonderful day.

Band and Strings Concert
There will be a special band/string concert on Tuesday, May 15 at 8:30 AM. This program features band and strings students. Parents of violin and band students are invited to attend.

May Crowning
May is the month of the Blessed Mother. We will be honoring Mary with our May Crowning ceremony on May 22 at 10:00 AM. This is a beautiful tribute to Mary, Queen of heaven and  earth!

The month of May characteristically presents challenges as baseball, recitals and outdoor activities demand students' attention. A strong finish to the school year relies heavily on making good choices, utilizing time management skills and remaining focused on learning. Your support is critical for success. Thank you for partnering with us as we continue to engage your children in learning to the end of the year.

Community Can and Bottle Recycling Drive!
It's finally here...the last recycling drive of the 2017-2018 school year! Join us this Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 9am-1pm at ASCS. All clean and redeemable cans and bottles most welcome! We love to have help...this is the perfect event for families to work at together. Join us for an hour or two Saturday morning and help sort some cans and bottles, teach your kids about recycling, help the environment and make some new friends. Email Leanne O'Hara at lohara@smophoto.com for more info.

No School May 28

Uniform Swap
The annual school "Uniform Swap"will be held on May 29 - May 31 at drop off, dismissal and throughout the school day in the cafeteria.  We currently have polo shirts ( some grey and some white), sweaters, jumpers, boys pants, gym clothing and some "odds and ends".   Donate what you have;  take what you need!

Please note:  We are not accepting any royal blue gym t-shirts.  If you recall, they were grandfathered in for the current 2017 - 2018 school year only. Please purchase the regulation grey w/ royal blue emblem t-shirt at Dennis Uniform Co.

Summer Construction
There is a construction project planned for our school over the summer. We are getting solar paneling . The construction will involve the school building, the back building and trenches dug throughout the back lot and sides of the property. Construction begins at  the end of June. The school offices will be open all summer.

Traffic Update
Beginning Tuesday, May 29th the West Rocks Rd Merritt Parkway overpass/bridge will be closed by the state for reconstruction with hopes to be re-opened by school start up. The state and Department of Public Works have been working together to notify residents in the affected area.  Traffic flow will be re-routed in this area and police will be present in the immediate construction area. Bus drivers will need to re-route or "find a better way" around the area as to not add time to their routes.  Please be prepared so you are not stuck and the traffic does not back up.
