Monday News 11/13/17

Congratulations to Tommy Crossen, Brendan Arroyo and Chase Meyer of grade 8!  Their 8th Grade Norwalk Football Team made it to the CT State Championships.
Congratulations to Kristina Petzold, grade 7. On Saturday, Nov 11th, she addressed the German Language Schools Conference (GLSC) at the German Consulate in New York. She was a winner in their annual writing competition and got to present her paper.
Thank you so much to all those who donated toiletries, new linens and cleaning supplies to "Homes for the Brave". This organization provides housing, vocational training and life skills coaching to homeless veterans. Wishing everyone who has faithfully served our country the blessings of Almighty God! Thank you all for putting yourself in harms way to defend our country and our freedoms! Your service is TRULY appreciated!
Thanksgiving Food Drive
Our Thanksgiving Food Drive begins tomorrowNovember 14.  If you or anyone you may know is in need of a food basket this year, please email me to let me know.  (
We need nonperishable Thanksgiving items such as canned fruit , canned vegetables, canned yams, pasta, pasta sauce, stuffing mix, gravy, canned soups and dessert items.  All donations can be placed on the tables in the school foyer.

If anyone is able to donate a turkey or a canned ham, please contact the office. We do have room in our refrigerator and in our freezer at the present time.Your generosity is appreciated.

Thanksgiving Mass
Our Thanksgiving Mass will be held on Monday, November 20, at 10 AM. The celebrant will be Fr. David Blanchfield, pastor of Saint Jerome Parish in Norwalk. Please join us in giving  thanks for the many blessings God has bestowed upon us.

Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parent -Teacher Conferences and Report Card distribution will be held on Thursday, November 16 and on Friday, November 17.  Thursday conference times are 12:45PM - 4:15PM and 5:00PM - 8:00PM. Friday conference times are 12:45PM - 2-15PM. 
There will be early dismissal on both days (11:30AM for preschool and 11:45AM for grades K-8). The after-school session will be in session both days. Please be on time for pick up.
Reminder: Thursday and Friday 11/16 and 11/17 are also dress down days for the 8th grade fundraiser. See a complete list of dates here. 

Early Dismissal 11/22
There will be an Early dismissal on Wednesday, November 22, the day before Thanksgiving.  Dismissal is at 11:30AM for preschool and 11:45AM for grades K-8. There is NO after school program on that day.  Please be on time for pick up.  School is closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on November 23-24.  We reopen on Monday, November 27.

All Saints Mass at St. Joseph This Sunday
All Saints Catholic School will be hosting a Mass at St. Joseph Parish in South Norwalk on Sunday, November 19, at 10:00AM. A ll families are welcome to attend and join the procession. Students should wear their school  uniform.  Please contact Paola Arango, the parish ambassador, for questions

ASCS Christmas Classic Basketball Tournament
Mark your calendars! The All Saints Christmas Basketball Holiday Tournament will be held on November 30- December 10. Join us on our home court to cheer on our teams during this exciting event. All information regarding the tournament will be provided via the school website.

Alumni Basketball Game
We will be having our first alumni basketball game on Friday December 1 at 8:30pm, following the Christmas Classic game. Help us spread the word to our Alumni! It's $10 per player. Register online here.

The Christmas Pageant ( PK - 8) will be held on Wednesday, December 20, in the auditorium at 12:30PM. Please click here for information concerning the Christmas Program for grades PK - 8.
