Congratulations to eighth graders Kara Fitzgerald, Veronica Lester, Lila Pinho, Lily Trudeau and Morgan White!  The girls have all applied, been accepted and have all received academic scholarships to Lauralton Hall based on their exceptional performance in math and language arts on the High School Placement test taken last May.
Morgan White said, "This was all thanks to Mr. Fitzpatrick, Mr. Kurtzman, Mrs. Hill/Rich, and Mrs. Pollak. All of these teacher prepared us enormously and helped us get into the high school of our dreams."
It was a pleasure seeing so many parents at our Middle School Parent Meeting last week. Hopefully the sessions were informative and you were able to ask questions. We are looking forward to successful year!

This training has been set up especially for our parents. Please attend if you need to be there.

School Dress Code
Thank you to all those families who are in compliance with the school dress code. Remember to wear white socks on PE day. Bright and bold colored sneakers and socks should be saved to wear on the weekends and not worn to school. It is important that your child's name be placed in their clothing. Any clothing that is unclaimed will be placed on the table in the rear of the cafeteria.

Returning Important Paperwork
Thank you to all of the families who returned the emergency cards and the handbook/policy sign off sheet to school. If you have not done so, please be sure you send both pieces of paper to school tomorrow.

School Communications
It is important that all parents check their email and the school's website on a daily basis. This is our means of communication of important information to parents. If you know anyone who has not signed up for email updates, please encourage them to do so by visiting the school website.

Social Media and Internet Safety
Please consider watching this video and use it to evaluate the internet apps your children are using. It was a Today Show 30 interview and informs parents/students of the good and bad apps out there.

Emergency Plans
All parents are asked to have their cell phones nearby and turned on during the school day. This is just in case of an emergency or unplanned early dismissal. Please be certain that you have a contingency plan for pick up for your child on such days and that your child knows what it is.

School Security
Security is important. If you are visiting our school at any time , please be certain that you check in with the security guard or come into the school office to sign in and get a visitor's pass before going to the classroom.

Parking Lot Safety
Please obey the parking pattern and speed limit when driving through the back parking lot at dismissal. Please pull into a space to park so you do not need to back up! Please park in a legal space and obey the cones, the chains and the "No Parking "signs. The teachers dismiss the children from the school building directly to you. Please work with us as we strive to maintain a safe environment for all students.

Have a wonderful week!
