Halloween at ASCS

The Halloween Parade
will take place outside on the track on Monday, October 31. The children will begin lining up in the school building at 12:45PM and walk once around the track at 1:00PM. Parents are invited to the parade. Please go directly to the track outside. (In case of rain,  we will have the parade in the gym.) After the parade, the students ONLY will return to the classrooms. All students in grades PK- 8 may wear their costumes to school.  Middle School students may choose to either wear a costume or have a " Black and Orange" Dress Down Day. Be sure that your child's costume is comfortable for them to wear all day and to play in at recess. Costumes need to be appropriate for a Catholic School. Please: NO masks (make up is fine), NO props, NO weapons and NO "abbreviated"costumes.

The teachers will ask for help if they need it. For the most part, they will give their own small celebrations in their classrooms or in the cafeteria for the middle school.  Please do not send in any treats to school unless you are specifically directed to do so by the teacher or room mothers. Please be respectful of this request. It will help the event flow smoother.

The upcoming weekend will be a very busy one at our school. Our Halloween danceswill be on Friday and Saturday night. Please join us for a free "Trunk or Treat" on Sunday night from 5 to 7 PM.  Information for all three events can be found here.

That morning all students, teachers and staff will walk to our neighboring school as a practice in case we ever need to evacuate our building and take shelter. This drill is part of our school's Crisis Plan. All parents will receive a text when the drill is over and we have all returned back to school safely. That morning , please keep your cell phone on and beside you so you will receive the message. Please communicate this to your spouses so everyone knows what is going on. Remember that your child's safety is of utmost importance to all of us.
