runners

The All Saints Cross Country Team participated in the Championship Race on Sunday, October 30, 2022. We were 1 of 10 schools that participated, a total of 91 runners for the boys and girls! A great turnout.

The race took place at Seaside Park in Bridgeport on a beautiful afternoon. All Saints had 7 runners participate; Gabriela Martinez, Arianny Avila, Abigail Royce, Riley Stewart, Jeremy Hihn, Sophia O'Brien and Devyn Smith. All runners had a successful finish doing their personal best.

Devyn Smith finished the race in 2nd place overall, received a medal and 1st overall for 8th-grade girls, and was awarded a ribbon. She finished the race with a time of 13:48

Arianny Avila finished 3rd overall for 6th-grade girls and was awarded a ribbon. She finished the race with a time of 13:55.

For the girls race, there were 43 runners, All Saints took the following places: 2nd, 4th, 6th, 15th, 18th, and 29th place.

For the boys, Jeremy Hihn represented All Saints, he finished 33rd out of 48 runners. In his first race, he did a great job!

Missing from the race was Cody DiIorio, Courtney DeRosa, Caris Sylvain, Maya Witczak.

I am extremely proud of the team's commitment, dedication and effort they put forth throughout the fall season. Their individual improvement, development and commitment made them a winner!! Confidence, good sportsmanship and a positive attitude led them all the finish line!

A great season! It was a pleasure coaching a great group of dedicated, coachable student-athletes!

Remember this........."Ability is what you are capable of doing. Motivation determines what you can do. Attitude determines how well you do it"
