Halloween Parade
Our Halloween Parade will take place outside on the track on Thursday, October 31, at 1:00PM. The children will begin lining up in the school building and walk once around the track at 1:00PM. Parents are invited to the parade.

Please go directly to the track outside. (In case of rain, we will have the parade in the gym.) After the parade, the students ONLY will return to the classrooms. Please wait outside (like you normally do every day) for your child to come out for dismissal. Your patience and cooperation are appreciated.

All students in grades PK- 8 may wear their costumes to school. Middle School students may choose to either wear a costume or have a " Black and Orange" Dress Down Day. Younger students who do not wear costumes may do the same. Be sure that your child's costume is comfortable for them to wear. Costumes need to be appropriate for a Catholic School. Please: NO masks (make up is OK), NO props, NO weapons and NO "skimpy"costumes.

The teachers will ask for help if they need it. For the most part, they will give their own small celebrations. Please do not send in any treats to school unless you are specifically directed to do so by the teacher or room mothers. Please be respectful of this request. It will help the event flow smoother. Any questions concerning this event please contact the school office.

Report Cards
The first marking period ends on Friday, November 1. Report cards will be distributed on November 14 and 15 at parent teacher conferences to those families who are current with their financial obligations to the school.

Parent Portal
All third through eighth grade parents should be viewing their child's grades regularly on the school's Rediker Parent Plus Portal. The portal serves as the vehicle of communication between you and the teacher. The portal will close on Monday, October 28, to allow teachers to begin the process of finalizing grades and comments for report cards. If you have any difficulty accessing the portal, please contact the office.

Career Fair
ASCS will have a Career Fair on Thursday, November 14, at 9:00 - 10:30AM for students in the 5th thru 8th grades. This is a wonderful opportunity for them to learn and explore different career choices. If you are interested in being part of the Career Fair, please call our guidance counselor, Mrs. Corrente, or email her at

Summer Uniform Reminder
The last day for the optional summer uniform shorts was Friday, October 11. Please pack the uniform shorts away until April.

Technology Reminder
Parents need to be vigilant and monitor their child's social media and google docs accounts. It is a good idea to have all of your child's phone messages and/or texts forwarded to your phone for monitoring. Check daily! Technology is moving quickly; not all students are mature enough to handle it. Please visit the school website and check the school handbook for school policies in regard to social media.
