Our school’s curriculum follows the subject area Curriculum Maps developed by the Bridgeport Diocesan Schools using best practices and cutting-edge data driven research. The curriculum maps are dynamic – changing to reflect the teaching-learning process in the classroom. Tied to the state standards, these maps are the prescribed curriculum for all the Catholic schools in Fairfield County. Each grade level’s content, students’ skills and the types of assessment used to evaluate the students’ skills are clearly articulated in the maps. The hours for Kindergarten through Grade Eight are from 7:50 am until 2:05 pm. The Preschool Program starts at 7:50 am and ends at 1:30 pm. There is an extended day program that ends at 5:45pm. 

The complete uniform guidelines can be found here.  All Preschool students take part in a dress code; navy blue pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, jumpers, long /short sleeve polo shirts. Sneakers. White socks or tights. Navy blue sweaters are optional.

In Kindergarten through Fifth Grade, girls wear a jumper and a white short/long sleeve blouse. Cardigan sweater or v-neck required Black Mary Jane shoes (No patent leather)

The boys wear navy pants with a gray short/long sleeve polo shirt. Shoes: Cordovan or Black penny loafers. (No buckle, no tassel)

Girls in Grades Six through Eight wear a plaid uniform skirt. (Girls need to wear bike shorts under skirt) and a blue All Saints uniform blouse. Shoes: Cordovan or Black penny loafers

Boys in Grades Six through Eight wear  long/short sleeve dress shirt with ASCS logo (Oct 1 – April 30) Navy blue uniform pants with a black belt. Navy blue uniform V-neck sweater or sweater vest required. Grade 8 students may choose to wear their class sweatshirt. (size to fit – no oversize) Cordovan or Black penny loafers.

 
On gym day, the children wear a gym uniform, a blue shirt or sweatshirt with blue sweatpants or shorts.

There is an optional summer uniform as well which includes walking shorts.

All uniforms for Grades K-8 are purchased through Tommy Hilfiger. Preschool uniforms are available through Tommy Hilfiger, but may be purchased at any store.  

100% of our teachers are certified in the State of Connecticut and 75% have advanced degrees.

We offer Spanish beginning in Preschool through Grade 8.

Yes. Children attend music classes weekly. We also have a school band for students in 3rd through 8th Grade, as well as a strings program for students in grade Preschool through 8th Grade. In addition, we have a drama club for students in grades 5-8.

Our students can participate in school organized sports teams and clinics including basketball, volleyball, track, and gym games, Italian Club, Yearbook Club, Student Council, and various community outreach projects.

Yes, we have a Dining Hall with a full-service hot lunch program. Children in grades K-8 eat in the dining hall. Children in Preschool eat lunch in their classrooms.

When the weather is nice, P.E. class is held on the school property on one of our many fields. When the weather does not permit, P.E. class is held in our full-size gymnasium.

Yes. The children go to church for special holidays, and on holy days. Children in grades K-8 prepare and participate in class masses and prayer services which are held in our chapel.  

You do not have to be Catholic to attend the school. All religious affiliations are welcome.

• Pre-K 3’s: The child must be 3 years old by December 31 and must be toilet trained.

• Pre-K 4’s: The child must be 4 years old by December 31.

• Kindergarten: The child must be 5 years old by December 31.

The extended day program is held daily from dismissal until 5:45 pm. During the after-school program, the children do their homework, have a snack, and play outdoors, weather permitting. All Saints Catholic School, like many public and private schools throughout the United States, utilizes a standardized test of basic skills. On average, our students exhibit test scores that are one to two grades above their grade level in math and reading. Our testing data shows that the longer a child attends All Saints Catholic School, the better their academic performance.

In general, All Saints Catholic School follows the holiday schedule of the Norwalk Public Schools. For example, we have our Christmas, Winter and Spring Breaks at the same time. However, typically there are some days that public schools are closed while All Saints Catholic School is open, and vice-versa.

We have a very active Home School Association (HSA), the equivalent of a Parent-Teacher Organization. The HSA hosts events for the school community and buys necessary equipment for the classrooms and the grounds, and much more. Parents volunteer in numerous ways.

All the doors in the building are kept locked and security cameras monitor the main doors and all of the first-floor hallways and playgrounds. In addition, we have a full-time security officer on campus at all times.

Yes.Tuition assistance is available. Tuition is set by the Bridgeport Diocese. There are discounts for families with more than one child at the school. Members of any Catholic parish in the Diocese receive a substantial discount.

Yes. If you live in Norwalk, the Bus Company provides bus service to our school. Schedules can be found on the Norwalk Public Schools websiteduring the last weeks of August.

The school day begins at 10 am. Students can enter the building starting at 9:30 am. Please do not drop off your student before this time.

The school will send a Robo call and text message to enrolled parents as soon as a decision is made. All Saints Catholic School follows the Norwalk Public School District decision.
